Acting as “leaders for change”, mayors of Budesti, Costesti and Palanca shared the results of the local initiatives on ethical governance and transparency scheme supported by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, with fellow mayors from the Stefan Voda district. The exchanges served as a peer review to discuss the sustainability of their innovative approaches to enhancing the quality of local democracy in their municipalities. This event also provided an opportunity for Moldovan mayors to openly discuss the challenges and opportunities of territorial reform, with the contribution of Sergii MAZUR (Ukraine, ECR), member of the Congress and Mayor of Balta – one of the first amalgamated municipalities in Ukraine.
