On the occasion of the 47^th session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, the Chamber of Regions has elected a new President to fill the vacant position.

Cecilia Dalman Eek (Sweden, SOC/G/PD) has been elected as President during the sitting of the Chamber of Regions on the 16^th of October. She is a member of the regional council of Västra Götaland and was previously serving as 5^th Vice-President of the Chamber of Regions and a member of the Social Inclusion Committee.
