Venice Film Festival

"Machan" by Uberto Pasolini, a co-production between Italy and Germany supported by Eurimages, won the Europa Cinemas Label as best film of the Venice Days sidecar at the Venice Film Festival. The motivation for the prize read: "Immigration is a very real issue in Europe today and this is an enjoyable, well written and well directed film that makes its point with humour and without lapsing into cheap sentimentality. We feel that this can attract and entertain a wide audience around Europe and contribute to discussions of this important subject."

Info for producers

As an independent study, the contents of this document do not bind or commit in any way the Council of Europe and the Eurimages Fund.
