Audentia Awards
Gender Equality and Diversity & Inclusion Strategies
The Eurimages’ Audentia Award was created to encourage women in filmmaking in their ongoing careers by giving them extra financial support for their upcoming films based on the quality of the film screened at the selected festival.
In order to improve the impact of this award, a decision was taken to issue a call for proposals to select festivals capable of hosting the award on an ad hoc basis and of ensuring its conformity with the Fund's overall gender equality strategy as set forth by the Board of Management.

Sponsorships Promoting Gender Equality
Gender Equality and Diversity & Inclusion Strategies
Eurimages receives regular requests, which take various forms, for the financial support of projects, initiatives and events aimed at promoting gender equality and international co-operation within the film industry in exchange for high visibility for the Fund in the activity. Sponsored activities have included events, promotional activities and training programmes with a focus on female filmmakers. As part of its Gender Equality Action Plan 2021-2023, Eurimages has funded six projects: Pop Up Film Residency, Europe ! Voices of Women in Film at Sidney Film Festival (EFP), The Purple Meridians, Berlin Nipkow Residency for Female Empowerment in the Film Industry, Sisterhood of Young Animation Auteurs, and Step In at Locarno Film Festival. The aim of this action was to encourage female filmmakers in their ongoing careers.
