Gender Equality and Diversity & Inclusion Strategies
The Eurimages’ Audentia Award was created to encourage women in filmmaking in their ongoing careers by giving them extra financial support for their upcoming films based on the quality of the film screened at the selected festival.
In order to improve the impact of this award, a decision was taken to issue a call for proposals to select festivals capable of hosting the award on an ad hoc basis and of ensuring its conformity with the Fund's overall gender equality strategy as set forth by the Board of Management.

Sponsorships Promoting Gender Equality
Gender Equality and Diversity & Inclusion Strategies
Eurimages receives regular requests, which take various forms, for the financial support of projects, initiatives and events aimed at promoting gender equality and international co-operation within the film industry in exchange for high visibility for the Fund in the activity. Sponsored activities have included events, promotional activities and training programmes with a focus on female filmmakers. As part of its Gender Equality Action Plan 2021-2023, Eurimages has funded six projects: Pop Up Film Residency, Europe ! Voices of Women in Film at Sidney Film Festival (EFP), The Purple Meridians, Berlin Nipkow Residency for Female Empowerment in the Film Industry, Sisterhood of Young Animation Auteurs, and Step In at Locarno Film Festival. The aim of this action was to encourage female filmmakers in their ongoing careers.

Eurimages New Lab Awards
Following the suspension of the former Lab Projects Awards on 1 January 2021 and the study carried out by Tatino Films (FR) on the relevance and design of a new similar programme, the Eurimages Board of Directors adopted in December 2022 the creation of two Eurimages New Lab Awards: the Innovation Award for experimental projects in development and the Outreach Award to promote public awareness of experimental projects at the end of production or in post-production.

Following the call for proposals launched in 2020, nine proposals for partnerships with events aimed at promoting international cooperation within the film and audiovisual industry in exchange for a high visibility of the Eurimages Fund within this event have been concluded for the period 2021-2023.

Green Co-production Awards
As part of its Sustainability Strategy, Eurimages Board of Management decided to create three Eurimages Green Co-production Awards. The objective of these awards is to reward international co-productions that have managed to combine sustainable production and artistic quality. They will be open to feature-length fiction, animation and documentary films. Each prize will be endowed with €10,000. The present call for proposals aims at selecting the three film festivals, markets or events which will host these awards for the years 2024 and 2025 and potentially prolonged to 2026.
