26th International Istanbul Film Festival

The 26th International Istanbul Film Festival will take place from 31 March to 15 April 2007. Eurimages' supported films:

Opening film (out of competition):

‘Saturno Contro’ (Saturn Opposite) by Ferzan Ízpetek (IT, FR, TR);

International Competition:

‘La Stella Che Non C’Ŕ’ (The Missing Star) by Gianni Amelio (IT, FR, CH)
‘Cenneti Beklerken’ (Waiting for Heaven) by Dervis Zaim (TR, HU)

National Competition:

‘Iklimler’ (Climates) by Nuri Bilge Ceylan (TR,FR)
‘Kader’ (Destiny) by Zeki Demirkubuz (TR, GR)
‘Takva’ (Takva – A Man’s Fear of God) by Ozer Kiziltan (TR, DE)
Eve D÷nus (Home Coming) by Ímer Ugur (TR, GR)

And many other screenings in different sections of the Festival.

Meetings on the Bridge (April 10-11, French Cultural Centre) is a two day event organised to serve as a platform for Turkish and European film professionals to meet. Organised last year for the first time, it aims to bring together representatives of European film institutions such as Eurimages, Arte, Unifrance, ZDF with Turkish producers and directors to discuss funding possibilities for filming projects.

Info for exhibitors

  • From 1 January 2016, the rules for Eurimages' support for theatres have been modified. A theatre that wishes to join the network must apply before 30 June at 6pm of the current year for an accession the following year.

    Full participation in the Creative Europe-Media Sub-programme is announced for 2016 for “the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Albania and Serbia. Therefore these countries will no longer be eligible for Eurimages’ theatre support programme.

    Only theatres located in Eurimages member states that do not have access to support under the Creative Europe MEDIA programme are eligible for the Eurimages programme of support for theatres: Armenia, Georgia, Russian Federation, Switzerland and Turkey.

     

Info for distributors

  • From 1 January 2016, the rules for Eurimages' support for distribution have been modified.

    Full participation in the Creative Europe-Media Sub-programme is announced for 2016 for “the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Albania and Serbia. Therefore these countries will no longer be eligible for Eurimages’ distribution support programmes.

    This support is intended for professionals based in Eurimages member states which do not have access to the EU Creative Europe-MEDIA distribution programme: Armenia, Georgia, Russian Federation, Switzerland and Turkey.
