CyberCrime@Octopus: Judicial training workshop in Peru

Within the framework of the Cybercrime@Octopus project, with the support of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a judicial training workshop was held in Lima on 29-30 September for 25 prosecutors and judges – with a number of additional professionals able to follow the event that was broadcasted in ten other provinces of Peru.

The main objective of the workshop was to deliver the standard Introductory Judicial Training course for judges and prosecutors on cybercrime and electronic evidence, developed by the Council of Europe. It also served as a pilot course aimed to encourage judicial training institutions in Peru to further include cybercrime and electronic evidence in their standard training curricula in the future.
