Round-table meetings are organised by the Council of Europe Anti-Trafficking Division halfway through a monitoring round, prior a country submitting a report to the Committee of Parties on the measures taken to implement GRETA's and the Committee of the Parties’ recommendations. The round-table meetings bring together relevant stakeholders and are an opportunity to receive updated information on developments in the countries concerned, steps taken to implement the recommendations, and any remaining challenges. Further, they are a tool for:

 promoting a better understanding of the Convention’s provisions,

 stimulating dialogue between relevant stakeholders in each country,

 and identifying areas where the Council of Europe can support national anti-trafficking efforts.

Each round-table meeting is followed up by a report which provides a summary of the discussions and sets forth concrete ideas for assisting the country concerning in improving the implementation of the Convention. This report is sent to the national authorities who are invited to indicate their interest in pursuing specific co-operation projects with the Council of Europe.
