The joint European Union / Council of Europe programme "Reinforcing Judicial Expertise on Freedom of Expression and the Media in South-East Europe (JUFREX)" in cooperation with the Bar Association of Montenegro has organised a Training for lawyers on freedom of expression and freedom of the media, on 6-7 November 2018, in Podgorica.

The aim of the training was to raise awareness and knowledge of lawyers on the European Convention on Human Rights and Council of Europe standards in this field, which they can apply in their everyday work. This was the fourth training session organised for Montenegrin lawyers during 2017-2018. JUFREX trainings offered interactive learning and discussion through case studies and presentation of the standard setting case-law of the European Court of Human Rights relating to freedom of expression and the media freedom.
