  • Prevention & mitigation of the psychosocial consequences of earthquakes [EN]

This Book aims to offer a short description of the current knowledge pertaining to the essential prevention and confrontation of the psychosocial impacts of earthquakes, in terms ofeducation and training of the modern psychosocial interventions for the affected population in an organised society. The co-existence of physical damage from injuries or accidents, combined with the psychological pressure due to the disaster, increase the probability of the appearance of psychological and psychiatric problems, especially if AsR (Acute stress Reaction) has not been diagnosed nor treated in 48 hours following the disaster.
