The EUR-OPA Committee of Permanent Correspondents and the Directors of Specialised Centres held their (84th) joint meeting in Paris on 6 and 7 November. The main aim of the meeting was to discuss and adopt a Recommendation on the citizen-centred prevention and preparedness in the face of natural hazards connected to climate change. The participants discussed also possible collaboration between the Union for the Mediterranean and EUR-OPA relating to civil protection and between EUR-OPA and UNESCO. Furthermore, the priorities of work for 2026 and the preparation of the 15th Ministerial Session, to be held in San Marino in the first half of 2027, were also discussed. The meeting was also the occasion to review the ongoing and proposed projects implemented by the network of specialised centres.
