Award winners of the 18th edition of Etoiles et Toiles du Cinéma européen

The 18th edition of the event Etoiles et Toiles du Cinéma Européen, the outcome of a co-operation between the Odyssée cinema in Strasbourg, the Council of Europe and the Eurimages Fund, came to a close last night with the awarding of the following prizes :

- The Odyssée-Council of Europe Prize for Human Rights went to the film The Nile Hilton Incident by Tarik Saleh, a co-production between Sweden, Germany and Denmark.

- The Odyssée-Council of Europe Prize for Artistic Creation went to the film Clair Obscur by Yeşim Ustaoğlu, a co-production between Turkey, Germany and France.

The Jury also awarded a Special Mention to the film Ice Mother by Bohdan Sláma, a co-production between the Czech Republic, France and Slovakia.

The award-giving ceremony which closed five weeks of programming of 12 cinematographic co-productions supported by Eurimages was followed by the screening of the film The Nile Hilton Incident by Tarik Saleh. See the press release.
