A North Macedonian delegation from the city of Strumica, which arrived in Venice during the Carnival festivities, paid a visit to the office of the Council of Europe. Many cities and towns in Macedonia cellebrate Carnival, and Strumica’s Carnival is one of the largest that welcomes thousands of tourists from all over Europe. Kostadin Kostadinov, mayor of the Municipality of Strumica, Aleksandar Odjakov, municipal secretary, Aleksandar Cicimov, president of the organizing Committee of the Strumica Carnival, Mattia Carlin, vice president of the UCOI-Union of Honorary Consuls of Italy, and Stojan Vitanov, consul general of the Republic of North Macedonia in Italy took part in the meeting.
North Macedonia is member of the Council of Europe since 1995.
