The Faro Italia Network holds its sixth meeting in Rome

On 5 May 2023 the sixth meeting of the Faro Italia Network took place at the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale in Rome. The network includes heritage communities, cultural institutions and associations which operate in line with the principles of the Faro Convention and implement it at the national and local level. Francesc Pla of the Council of Europe Culture and Cultural Heritage Division presented the state of the art of the Faro Convention ratification by Member States and Euopean-level initiatives, while the head of the Venice Office Luisella Pavan-Woolfe spoke about heritage walks and other Faro-related activities organized in Italy. Heritage communities’ representatives illustrated events which had taken place since the network’s October gathering in Rome.

Massimo Clemente and Eleonora Giovene di Girasole representing both the Molo San Vincenzo community and CNR-IRISS (Naples) will provide the Network’s secretariat, taking on the task from the CoE Venice Office and supported by the newly appointed scientific committee.
