The Council of Europe is pleased to announce the launch of the project “Supporting Development of Capacities and Participatory Approaches to Implementing Integrated Services in Disadvantaged Urban Communities, Including Roma in Romania.” This is the first project implemented by the Council of Europe within the framework of the Second Swiss Contribution, which aims to reduce social and economic inequalities within the European Union.

The official launch event took place on 30 June 2025 in Bucharest, hosted by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity of Romania.

An agreement has been signed providing a Swiss contribution of CHF 2,931,374 to support the implementation of this initiative, which is part of the broader Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Programme.
