The Government of Albania has made a voluntary contribution of €30 000 to reduce the backlog of outstanding unexecuted leading judgments of the European Court of Human Rights*, aligning itself with the Human Rights Trust Fund and its goal to support the implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Ambassador Dastid Koreshi, Permanent Representative of Albania to the Council of Europe, met with Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General, on that occasion.

* The HRTF brings together eight contributors: Finland, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
