ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth and CARDET are planning multiple actions to raise awareness and promote action as part of the Global Education Week.
Specifically, during the Global Education Week they are planning the following:
- Webinar - Global Education: Formulating the Citizens of the Future - The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in collaboration with CARDET and the NGO Support Centre will organize a practical webinar for teachers and educators on Global Education. Over the course of the webinar, representatives of the Ministry and CSOs will present key concepts and principles of Global Education along with effective practices and actions teachers can apply to engage and educate their students. An essential aspect of the webinar will be to encourage educators to collaborate with CSOs and pursue synergies and joint actions for Global Education
- Climate Action Simulation Game: CARDET will host a role-playing game aiming to increase players’ understanding of climate change dynamics and how these dynamics are affected by policies. The participants are divided in 6 teams representing 6 different political, social, and business groups which will participate in a hypothetical climate summit organized by the United Nations. The players identify different stakeholders’ motivations and explore solutions on action to limit climate change below 2 degrees, with the help of a simulator. The tricky part is that each group will also need to promote its individual benefits.
- Promoting Microlearning for Literacy: CARDET will carry out a series of workshops introducing microlearning to schools as a new trend in literacy and sharing Open Educational Resources that promote interaction on three levels: with self, others, and the environment.
- Capture it - Act on It: Photo competition on the Effects of Climate Change - CARDET will launch a photo competition asking youth to submit photos presenting signs and effects of climate change. The submitted photos will be used for an exhibition that will be organized in January 2023 and selected photos will win a prize.

During the week of global education, several activities on the theme "Say no to child poverty" the will be organised at the "Maršal Tito" Elementary School. Namely, Monstat's data that every third child in Montenegro is on the verge of poverty was the reason for choosing this topic. In our school, we will conduct a questionnaire about the quality of life of children, and after that, with members of the Student Parliament and a group of 7th and 8th grade students, we will conduct a discussion using the Socratic seminar method in which they will ask questions of the 2nd or 3rd level of Kosta's level of questions. On Wednesday, November 16, the best questions will be asked to the President of the Ulcinj Municipality Assembly during his visit to the parliament. Also, a short campaign, information and performance will be held that day in front of the Municipality building.
