2nd meeting of the CDADI Working group on active political participation of the national minority youth

During its 4th Plenary meeting in December 2021, Steering Committee on Anti-Discrimination, Diversity and Inclusion (CDADI) established a working group in charge of drafting a Committee of Ministers Recommendation to the member States on active political participation of national minority youth. This is one of 20 deliverables that CDADI needs to prepare in the framework of its current Terms of Reference (2022-2025).

The group held its first meeting online on 23 June 2022 to discuss the recommendations from the Study on active political participation of the national minority youth as a starting point for the future CM Recommendation.

During its second meeting, the Working group, comprised of the experts from Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic and Ukraine and joined by the representatives of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities and the Joint Council on Youth, discussed and revised the first draft of the Recommendation. The draft will be sent to the CDADI for discussion during its 6th Plenary meeting on 29 November – 1 December 2022 in Strasbourg.
