The mayor of Donostia / San Sebastian, Eneko Goia, on behalf of the entire City Council, has welcomed the delegation and opened the public session which included the presentations of the Intercultural Cities programme, the work of the City Council's technical officers and the best practices of the city. Besides, participants experienced live the Intercultural Citizenship test developed under the ICC programme.

The visit continued in the field, with exchanges with city services and civil society organisations working in the field of human rights, gender equality and prevention of gender violence, inclusion of migrants, anti-discrimination, and business and diversity. Following the visit, the delegation will make recommendations that will help the city in the process of developing its new intercultural strategy, with the objective to respond positively to the challenge of diversity, encouraging new ideas and practices that promote inclusion.
