Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni met today with Mohammed Ghazali, Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The exchanges of views focused on how to consolidate co-operation between the Council of Europe and Morocco in the field of freedom of expression and freedom of the media.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe reaffirmed the willingness of the Organisation to support Morocco in the on-going process of reforms in the field of the media.

Since 2014, the Council of Europe carries out co-operation activities aiming at promoting freedom of expression and media independence and plurality in Morocco.
