Work meeting on Protection of Minors

On Friday, 14 December 2018, a work meeting of the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Heregovina (BiH) and their licensees on Protection of Minors, was held in the hotel Courtyard Marriot in Sarajevo. The representatives of radio and TV stations discussed the new TV promotional video clip, produced by the Regulatory Agency, in order to draw attention to video content inappropriate for minors. Also, the participants are acquainted with the new Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD), specifically concerning the protection of minors, which is also supposed to be adopted in BiH  and which stipulates a change in existing regulations on the topic. Alongside the question of content classification, the issue of lack of locally-produced quality education programmes and the accountability of other actors, including regulators, broadcasters, parents and educational institutions, were discussed.
