The purpose of the seminar was to draw up practical recommendations on the management of cultural landscapes and of risks relating to natural disasters. The topics addressed included promoting the traditional farming and architectural techniques forming part of cultural heritage as a means of fighting natural disasters, the importance of the media in disseminating this local knowledge and co-operation between the authorities and all stakeholders in risk prevention and management.
