On 15 April, the Executive Secretary of EUR-OPA Major Hazards Agreement attended a ceremony to mark the 40th Anniversary of the European University Centre for Cultural Heritage (CUEBC), that has been one of the cornerstones of cooperation within the Network of EUR-OPA Specialised Centres.

At the ceremony,  the Executive Secretary, together with the mayor of Ravello Mr Paolo Vuilleumier, President of the Ravello Foundation Mr Diomede Falconio, and President of the Center Mr Alfonso Andria,  delivered opening remarks recalling long and fruitful cooperation of EUR-OPA and CUEBC. The keynote speech on «Cultural heritage and sustainable development» was given by Mr Mounir Bouchenaki, Special Adviser to the Director General of UNESCO and the Director General of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property.
