Ten films supported by Eurimages will be screened at the next Cannes Film Festival which will take place from 16 to 27 May 2023.
Three of these films are selected in the Official Competition:
KURU OTLAR ÜSTÜNE (ABOUT DRY GRASSES) by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, a co-production between Turkey, France, Germany and Sweden
CLUB ZERO (AT, DE, DK, UK, FR) by Jessica Hausner
and the documentary YOUTH (SPRING) by Wang Bing, co-produced by France, Luxembourg, China and the Netherlands,
while Lisandro Alonso's EUREKA (FR, DE, MX, PT, AR) will be screened in the Cannes Première section and ROBOT DREAMS (ES, FR) by Pablo Berger will be presented as part of the Special Screenings.
Directors' Fortnight has selected three films supported by Eurimages:
ABRAHAM’S VALLEY (PT, FR, CH) by Manoel de Oliveira which will have a special screening, DÉSERTS (FR, DE, MA, BE) by Faouzi Bensaïdi and LÉGUA by Filipa Reis & João Miller Guerra, a co-production between Portugal, France and Switzerland.
The 62nd edition of La Semaine de la Critique (Critics Week) also features a co-production supported by Eurimages: VINCENT MUST DIE (FR, BE) by Stéphan Castang.
And the animated film CHICKEN FOR LINDA! by Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach, co-produced by France and Italy and supported by Eurimages, will be screened as part of the ACID (Association du Cinéma Indépendant pour sa Diffusion) programme.
