Last night, the €20,000 Eurimages Co-production Development Award, presented in the framework of CPH:DOX in Copenhagen, went to the project ONLY ON EARTH by Robin Petré . The project will be produced by the Danish company Hansen & Pedersen.
The jury members, producers Rikke Tambo Andersen (Tambo Film) and Heino Deckert (ma.ja.de.) as well as Emma Scott (IE) for Eurimages have chosen to reward “a visually stunning project, that brought us to a place where nature is burning, climate change is evident, but hope is to be found between humans and animals”.
To express its support of and solidarity with the Ukrainian film industry, Eurimages decided once more to hand out a Special Co-production Development Award of the same amount, €20,000, to one of the many selected Ukrainian projects in Copenhagen. The above-mentioned jury which decided to award it to the project RED ZONE, directed by Iryna Tsilyk and produced by Darya Bassel from the Ukrainian company Moon Man was captivated by “this innovative look at the inner lives of women as they go about their daily lives with humour and courage while in the midst of a terrifying war”.

The next Eurimages Co-production Development Award will be presented during the Sarajevo Film Festival at the co-production market of CineLink which will take place on 14-17 August 2023.
10.03.2023 - The 25th edition of Cartoon Movie in Bordeaux (France) wrapped up yesterday with the presentation of the Eurimages Co-production Development Award to the project I'M STILL ALIVE by Roberto Saviano. The film is co-produced by MAD Entertainment (Italy), Lucky Red (Italy), SIPUR (Israel) & Gapbusters (Belgium). The jury for this award, composed of Simon Crowe (SC Films International - UK), Pierre Mazars (Charades - France) and Elena Kotova for Eurimages, was impressed by the diversity and quality of the animation projects they examined. Roberto Saviano's project was chosen for the award for its bold and courageous creativity.
Other films supported by Eurimages were also prize-winners in Bordeaux yesterday during the Cartoon Movie Tributes with the producers of feature animation NO DOGS OR ITALIANS ALLOWED winners of Producers of the Year and Mascha Halberstad named as Director of the Year for her film OINK. 20.02.2023 - Last night, the Eurimages Co-production Development Award at the Berlinale Co-production Market was awarded to Spanish producers Avalon PC for their project IVÁN & HADOUM, to be directed by Ian de la Rosa. Eurimages Executive Director Susan Newman Baudais then announced the granting of a Special Co-Production Development Award of the same amount (20,000 euros) to a particularly promising Ukrainian project entitled THE BLINDSIGHT, produced by 2Brave Productions and directed by Ruslan Batytskyi. Both awards were presented to their respective winners by Eurimages President Catherine Trautmann in the presence of the jury which was composed of Spanish producer Mariela Besuievsky (Spain, Tornasol Media), Polish international sales agent Marcin Łuczaj (New Europe Film Sales) and Georgian representative Nino Kirtadzé for Eurimages. 02 02 2023 - The 40th edition of CineMart wrapped up with the presentation of several awards at the IFFR Pro Award Ceremony. Testa o croce? / Heads Or Tails? from Italian-American directors Alessio Rigo de Righi and Matteo Zoppis took home the Eurimages Co-production Development Award of €20,000. It will be produced by Ring Film and Shellac Sud and follows a cowboy and his lover who run away together after he is accused of her husband’s murder. The jury composed of Mira Staleva, Konstantina Stavrianou and Ilse Ronteltap for Eurimages chose to support “A powerful love story that takes us into a world of magic and legends that we rarely see nowadays.” A Eurimages Special Co-production Development Award of the same amount (€20,000) went to the Ukrainian project Consider Vera directed by Marina Stepanska and produced by Esse Production House. It explores the lives of three generations of Ukrainian women. Stepanska said at Tuesday’s (January 31) awards ceremony, “I hope we still have the opportunity to make [Ukrainian] films not about the war.”
