Under the framework of CyberSouth project, on 8-10 April 2019 a regional workshop on the evaluation of cyberthreats was organised at the Institut Supérieur de la Magistrature in Rabat, Morocco, with the support of the General Prosecution Office of Morocco.
The event gathered 53 representatives from Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Telecommunication and CERT/CSIRT from Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia. The workshop focused on the benefits for the countries to develop a national report on the evaluation of cyberthreats and also gave the opportunity to the countries to share experience with experts from France, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom, USA, Interpol and Trendmicro with regards to statistics from the perspective of CERT/CSIRT, private sector, law enforcement and judiciary. Each delegation worked to put together suggestions on steps towards developing national cyberthreats reports.
Based on countries suggestions and recommendations, the Council of Europe, through CyberSouth project, will continue to support national activities towards the implementation of these recommendations.
