Sachindra Reechaye

With around 15 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Consultant at the National CERT of Mauritius, Sachin has been shouldering diverse roles and responsibilities at the Management and Operational level with the aim of countering the evolving Cyberthreat Landscape. His duty also consists of devising and implementing methods, strategies and procedures to minimise Cybersecurity risks and coming up with appropriate preparedness plans in the fight against Cybercrime for government and the private sector. 

His engagements include assistance in overlooking and coordinating CERT-MU operations, Drafting of the National Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Act 2021, Concept development of setting up the Senegalese National CERT, Coordination and Operationalisation of the National Security Operations Centre (SOC), Building Capacity for Professionals globally in the area of Cybersecurity through International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) Centre of Excellence, Auditing of the National Regulators for CIIs, Organisation of Local and International Cybersecurity drills, Development of National Cybersecurity & Cybercrime Strategy, Incident Coordination, Risk Assessment Exercises (Vulnerability Scanning & Penetration Testing), Assistance to countries  in setting up National CERTs, International Collaboration & Public and Private Partnership (PPP) and Implementation of National Child Online Safety Action Plan among others.
