Nnenna Ifeanyi-Ajufo

Nnenna Ifeanyi-Ajufo is a Professor of Law and Technology at the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.  She also serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the African Union Cyber Security Experts Group (AUCSEG) and has been actively involved in advising the African Union Commission (AUC) and African Member States on existing international, regional and national legal frameworks related to cybersecurity, as well as promoting cybersecurity in the region. She has also been actively involved in shaping academic and policy discourses on cybersecurity and governance of emerging technologies. She is a non-residential Technology and Human Rights Fellow at Harvard University’s Carr Centre for Human Rights Policy, a visiting Senior Research Fellow at the African Centre for International Criminal Justice and a member of the Research Committee of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE). She has served as an expert for distinguished organisations such as the Chatham House, the Commonwealth and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). She is a lead cybersecurity consultant for the UNECA. She was a Mentor for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)– ‘Women in Cybersecurity Mentorship Programme’ 2022 and was nominated by the African Union to participate in the 2022 U.S. Department of State International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP) on ‘Promoting Cybersecurity’. She has written for a range of research projects, journals and media publications.
