On 26 October, around 45 practitioners participated in the fourth webinar of the third series of events dedicated to sharing experiences on cybercrime and electronic evidence. The webinar was organised in the framework of the International Network of National Judicial Trainers by the GLACY+ project, with the support of the Octopus Project, CyberEast, CyberSouth, and iPROCEEDS-2 projects.
Three cybercrime practitioners from Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Costa Rica shared their knowledge and experience on cryptocurrency, the main theme of the webinar. They addressed, among others, the challenges of assets recovery, the relation between virtual currencies and traditional crimes and the international standards available. The members of the audience were actively engaged in the examination of the national case studies presented and gained insight from the best practices presented.
The series of practioners-to-practioners workshops aim to facilitate the sharing of experiences and to eventually ignite professional collaborations between the members of the Network.
On 12 December 2023, the Plenary of the Network, which will precede the Octopus Conference 2023, is expected to decide on the workplan and priorities of the Network, including future series of practioners-to-practioners trainings in 2024.
