Budapest Convention: Sri Lanka now is a Party

Sri Lanka became today a Party to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime. While the instrument of accession had been deposited at the end of May, the accession entered into force on 1 September and Sri Lanka is now able to cooperate with other States under this treaty on cybercrime and electronic evidence. The Council of Europe and the European Union will continue to offer capacity building in Sri Lanka under the joint project GLACY on Global Action on Cybercrime.
