Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH)

The CDDH’s principal role, under the auspices of the Committee of Ministers, is to set up standards commonly accepted by the 47 member states with the aim of developing and promoting human rights in Europe and improving the effectiveness of the control mechanism established by the European Convention on Human Rights.

74th meeting of the CDDH (7-10 February 2012): The Steering Committee for Human Rights has adopted its Final Report on ECHR-amendment measures, its Contribution to the Ministerial Conference organised by the UK Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers (Brighton, United Kingdom, 18-20 April 2012) and draft Committee of Ministers' Guidelines on selection of candidates for the post of judge at the Court.

   

Guidelines on selection of candidates for the post of judge at the Court: The Committee of Ministers adopted the Guidelines on 28th March 2012 at the 1138th meeting of the Ministers' Deputies.
