In 2018 the city of Haifa has set up a new Department under the city secretary office in order to strengthen the cooperation both among the civil organization themselves and between the organizations and the Municipality.
The new department addresses all civil organisations in the city and is now working on mapping them to ensure they are targeted by future action. The department is offering a “Hub” – a space that organizations may use as office and for conferences, working with the community department on issues as City Renewal and citizens’ participation.
