The second phase of the Action “Enhancing human rights protection for detained and sentenced persons in Montenegro” was initiated with the third meeting of the Steering Committee members. The meeting was opened by the Head of the Criminal Law Cooperation Unit in Strasbourg and the Head of Co-operation Section in the European Delegation to Montenegro.

The Steering Committee members, representatives of the key project stakeholders: Ministry of Justice/Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Internal Affairs/Police Administration were presented with the achievements of the first phase of the Project as well as with the second phase Work plan and the table of activities for the first six months.

Following a brief discussion about the envisaged activities the proposed plan of activities was adopted.
