Beko initiative in Egypt

Description: Beko is a programme that targets children aged from 12 to 16, aiming to create a safe and healthy learning environment inside their schools by providing and conducting workshops with the children regarding self- and society awareness, through the use of non-formal educational methodologies and a participatory training approach. Beko covers four main themes in each aspect: 1) protection from violence; 2) social acceptance and peace ideology; 3) loyalty; 4) team building. Beko implemented a full training activity in four schools, located in the rural areas with the vulnerable communities.
