Following the market consultation launched on 31 August 2020, the Study on the feasibility, pertinence and design of a scheme aimed at supporting the distribution, circulation and sales of feature-length fiction, animation and documentary films originating in Eurimages’ member States has been entrusted to Ernst & Young Advisory (France).

A mixed EY team composed of experienced consultants in economic development and impact assessment studies in the cultural and audiovisual sectors has conducted interviews, online surveys and workshops with relevant stakeholders. Recommendations were prepared in cooperation with independent consultant Bertrand Moullier.

The final study report was presented to the Board of Management during its plenary meeting on Friday 19 March 2021 and its executive summary is now publicly available. The Study Group of the Board of Management responsible for the follow-up of the external evaluation will now examine the recommendations developed in this report and may propose a redesign of the distribution support programme in the coming months.
