The Meta-University is an initiative of the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe launched last year to ensure interaction, peer-learning and partnership-building among people active in the youth sector at different levels. The Meta-University is an online space to connect and re-connect with different organisations internationally and reflect about the recent critical circumstances and challenges, drawing plans for the future.

This year, the Meta-University will take place from the 19 to the 22 October and will explore the impact which the digital shift, boosted by the pandemic, has on the youth sector.

Youth-led/youth-serving organisations from any region wishing to take part in the Meta-University 2021 can propose an online activity (webinar, workshop, lecture, group brainstorm, roundtable, etc.) to be part of the programme of the event.

The activities should focus on one of the following macro topics:

• Global citizenship, social cohesion, and human rights amid the pandemic.
• Intercultural dialogue and work on cross-cultural mutual understanding online.
• Interregional youth cooperation for the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Youth, Peace and Security agenda.

Besides developing their own activity’s programme, all partners and participants will have the opportunity to be involved in plenary sessions, networking meetings, digital exhibitions and connect with everyone through different forms of digital interaction facilitated by professional trainers.
