Ca' Foscari pays tribute to Amos Luzzatto
On 19 January 2021, took place Dialogo e riflessioni su "Il Posto degli ebrei" di Amos Luzzatto, one of the many commemorative events organised by Ca' Foscari University to celebrate Holocaust Remembrance Day 2021.
The institutional greetings of the Director of the Venice office of the Council of Europe, Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, and the President of the Venice Jewish Community, Paolo Gnignati, were followed by contributions from Professor Milena Santerini, national coordinator for the fight against anti-Semitism and Vice-President of the Shoah Memorial in Milan, and Gadi Luzzatto Voghera, Amos Luzzatto's son and Director of the Contemporary Jewish Documentation Centre in Milan. Readings by writer Tiziano Scarpa and Ca' Foscari students from Amos Luzzatto's book 'Il Posto degli Ebrei' concluded the city of Venice's tribute to the author.
