Committee of Experts on Intercultural Integration of Migrants

From 15 to 17 March 2022, in Rome, the Steering Committee on Anti-discrimination, Diversity and Inclusion (CDADI) elected the members of the Committee of Experts on Intercultural Integration of Migrants. The CDADI elected 10 representatives of member states, 1 representative of regional authorities, and 8 representatives of Intercultural Cities, to be part of the newly established Committee of Experts on the Intercultural Integration of Migrants (ADI-INT).

The ADI-INT will assist the CDADI in steering the Council of Europe’s intergovernmental work on intercultural integration by:

  1. designing a capacity-building programme and tools for migrant integration supporting the implementation of Recommendation CM/Rec(2022)10 on multilevel policies and governance for migrant integration;
  2. carrying out a feasibility study and drafting a possible new legal and/or benchmarking instrument on comprehensive strategies for inclusion, in consultation with other Council of Europe bodies.

The ADI-INT will build on the work previously carried out by the Working Group on Intercultural Integration. Its multilevel composition comprising representatives of all levels of governments will be an asset for the implementation of its Terms of Reference.
