In the Final Report in the implementation of the Action Plan on protecting refugee and migrant children in Europe (2017-2019), the Council of Europe takes stock of achievements and sets out new objectives.
Here is an overview highlighting in detail the actions carried out by the Council of Europe as a solid and coherant response aimed at protecting children in migration. The overview includes relevant resources linked to the results of the Action Plan.
The Special Representative has launched a new publication “Promoting child-friendly approaches in the area of migration: standards, guidance and current practices”. The compilation is structured in four comprehensive themes:
- entrance and identification
- child-friendly asylum and migration processes
- special protection measures
- durable solutions
The purpose of the publication is to serve as inspiration for member states that are in the process of expanding good and promising examples to consistent practices.
