Legal work
Under her mandate, the Special Representative provides advice and input to the Secretary General and to member States on legal aspects of human rights standards in the field of migration stemming from the European Convention on Human Rights and other relevant Council of Europe instruments. The aim is to provide advice on how the Council of Europe could strengthen its assistance to its member States in the human rights treatment of refugees and migrants, but also to help identify good and promising examples of laws and practices developed in Europe.
