The Government of Türkiye has made a voluntary contribution of €50 000 to support societal cohesion by reinforcing minority rights and minority languages, thereby contributing to the Council of Europe’s broader co-operation activities in Kosovo*.

The agreement was signed on 29 September 2026 by Ambassador Raziye Bilge Koçyiğit, Permanent Representative of Türkiye to the Council of Europe, and Mr Alain Berset, Secretary General.

* All references to Kosovo, whether the territory, institutions or population, in this text shall be understood in full compliance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and without prejudice to the status of Kosovo.
