The Pompidou Group, in co-operation with the Greek National Organisation for Prevention and Treatment of Addictions and the Hellenic Police, will hold the 38th Session of the Cooperation Group of Drug Control Services at Airports and Mail Centres (Airports Group) on 14–15 October 2026 in Athens, Greece.

Bringing together law enforcement and drug control experts from across Europe and partner organisations, the session will provide a platform for exchanging operational experience, good practices and expertise on drug trafficking through airports and postal channels.

The first day will focus on drug control in mail centres, including trafficking routes and modi operandi, public-private co-operation and practical training at an international logistics gateway in Athens. The second day will address drug control at airports, with discussions on emerging trafficking threats, profiling, API/PNR data, new technologies and human rights considerations.

The 38th session will also mark the integration of the Southeast Airports Group into the broader Airports Group network, strengthening co-operation and the exchange of regional expertise within the European framework.
