The Bureau of Permanent Correspondents of the Pompidou Group held its second meeting of 2025 online on Monday, 29 September, under the acting Swiss Presidency. Chaired by Ms Mari Viro Moser, the meeting focused on reviewing the current cycle reporting, finalising the document for the next work cycle Work Programme (2026-2029), review of formal confirmation of the future Presidency and Bureau membership candidatures.

The Bureau also examined the Secretariat proposed Terms of Reference for a future Drafting Committee on online and digital addictions aiming so to align with the future policy priorities of the Pompidou Group. Updates were also provided on the policy development work of the OC-DT expert group on organised crime and drug trafficking, as well as the DH-PDA drafting committee under the CDDH authority and which is developing a future recommendation on human rights and drug policy. The Bureau was presented with the priorities of the future Moldovan Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers.

The meeting concluded with the planning for the 97^th Permanent Correspondents meeting and the 19^th Ministerial Conference, which will be held on 27 and 28 November 2025 in Strasbourg. Key agenda items include Bureau elections, endorsement of policy guidelines, adoption of the programme components for the next cycle and of a policy direction Deceleration from the Ministers. The next Bureau meeting, which shall constitute the 1^st meeting under the new work cycle and for the year 2026, is proposed to take place in Paris, in the first half of February 2026.
