On 12 and 14 October the ICC programme will carry out the first Expert visit to the city of Loures, Portugal. Loures completed the ICC index in 2019. The first expert visit will be carried out as an online visit and focus on particular topics.

A member of the ICC Secretariat and an independent expert will together with the coordinator of the national network meet City officials, to work with the city to assess the strengths and needs in relation to intercultural policies and governance.

The programme of the visits also includes presentations of the Intercultural city concept to representatives of public authorities and civil society.

The visits will further result in the “intercultural profile” of the city and which will be the basis of subsequent work.
