Ferran Castillo studied sociology at Barcelona University. Since he graduated he focused on the areas of education, housing and politic sciences.

He participated in some studies for the Arrels Foundation regarding access to housing by homeless people and its impact on their wellbeing.

He is currently working at technical level at Barcelona City Council in the Citizenship Rights and Diversity Department, where he is in charge of foreign affairs, as well as providing support to social entities.
