Functioning of the Conference of INGOs
The Conference of INGOs is the collective body of the 320 INGOs enjoying participatory status with the Council of Europe. It is led by its President whom it elects every three years.
Delegates from all the INGOs enjoying participatory status are invited to participate in the twice-yearly sessions of the Conference of INGOs which are held in Strasbourg during the January and June sessions of the Parliamentary Assembly.
The work of the Conference of INGOs is structured round thematic committees, expert councils, individual experts, a Bureau and a Standing Committee which meet during the session weeks. A one-day plenary meeting of the Conference of INGOs is held at each Session.
