ECRI General Policy Recommendation N°17 on preventing and combating intolerance and discrimination against LGBTI persons - adopted on 28 June 2023

General Policy Recommendation No. 17 on preventing and combating intolerance and discrimination against LGBTI persons is about action to address intolerance and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people and to help to develop a society that is inclusive of LGBTI people. The recommendations contained in this instrument, which take due account of the findings emerging from ECRI’s country monitoring work, are intended as guidance to assist member States in preventing and combating intolerance and discrimination against LGBTI people, in close co-operation with the communities concerned.
