Back Cooperation with global service providers enhanced through Regional Cyber Forum in Bulgaria

Sofia, Bulgaria ,

More than 300 cyber security experts from public and private sector, representatives of leading ICT companies, financial organisations, banks, pharmaceutical industry, logistics, energy and utility companies, NGOs, academia, law enforcement officials from over 20 countries, international organisations, media and end users will participate in the IV South East European Regional Forum on Cybersecurity and Cybercrime, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 30-31 October 2017.

The event featured three parallel streams, focusing on government, business and future outlook at the challenges of cyberspace, allowing the participants to learn what is happening in the digital world, what are the current cyber threats, how governments and European institutions respond to the information security challenges and how prepared they are to defend their security.

The forum was organised by the International Cyber Investigation Training Academy in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria and the Council of Europe.

The Forum was an opportunity for both iPROCEEDS and EAP III project participants, but not only, to take advantages of the training sessions offered by global service providers (Facebook and Microsoft) on access to data and security incident analysis. These efforts contribute directly to better skills and knowledge of cooperation with private sector companies in the framework of criminal investigations.
