Cybercrime EAP II is implemented within the European Union and Council of Europe Programmatic Cooperation Framework in the Eastern Partnership Countries.

Participating countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

The project aims to optimize the regional and international cooperation on cybercrime and electronic evidence.

Components:

  • The improvement of mutual legal assistance for the international cooperation on cybercrime and electronic evidence
  • To strengthen the role of 24/7 contact points

Back Enhancing the Network of 24/7 Contact Points

The Hague , 

The Council of Europe on 26 and 27 September held a meeting of the 24/7 Network of Contact Points at EUROPOL, The Hague.  Fifty-five representatives of contact points of 45 current and future Parties to the Budapest Convention from all regions of the world shared best practices in view of further enhancing the role and effectiveness of the network.

The Network has been established under Article 35 of the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.

The meeting was supported by capacity building projects implemented by the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC), and preceded the annual EUROPOL/INTERPOL conference on cybercrime.
