Vallarie Yiega is an Associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology practice at Bowmans, based in Nairobi, Kenya. Vallarie actively participates in policy discussions and industry initiatives aimed at strengthening Kenya’s regulatory landscape for digital technologies and advancing best practices across East Africa.

Vallarie serves on the Digital Taskforce Group at the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Kenya, where she leads the Data Protection and Cybersecurity Workstream. In this role, she engages with government and industry stakeholders to enhance national cybersecurity frameworks, develop policies for cross-border data transfers, and promote international cooperation on cybercrime and electronic evidence, aligned with global standards such as the Budapest Convention.
