Stella Ohene APPIAH

Stella Ohene Appiah is a lawyer and currently a Chief State Attorney at the Prosecution Division of the Office of the Attorney-General. She was called to the
Ghanaian Bar in 2006. As a State Prosecutor, she has prosecuted a wide range of cases including Cybercrimes, Economic Crimes, Narcotics related Crimes, Human Trafficking and Corruption related cases . She has also trained both new lawyers and pupils posted to the Prosecution Division. She holds an LLM in National Security Law and Practice and LLB from the University of Ghana. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences.

She was the Attorney-General’s Focal Person on the Security Governance Initiative (SGI) Ghana project in 2016. Under the SGI project, Ghana received support from the United States Government to strengthen its Cyber Security architecture including preparing the first national Cyber Security Strategy document for Ghana. She is a Council of Europe Certified Trainer on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidenceand also IOM certified Trainer on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling.
